Architectural photography started for me back in 1982 - 4x5 view cameras
and sheet film. [Sigh. Those were good days...]
Yes, I still have a 4x5 view camera. It doesn't get out much. Though I love the
camera and the controls that you have with that level of camera, I have found it very difficult
to get quality scans from the negatives.
Technology will always move us forward and digital photography allows for
the combination of exposures in a ways that were very difficult with film.
Architecture was actually tied for second in my choices of career. Using lines,
color, shape and texture to create something that is both artistic and functional
has always intrigued me. That is probably why I gravitated to architectural photography.
To reach inside the mind of the designer and bring to paper their vision is
the challenge I always strive to. I use light and composition to create my images
and to control how the viewer experiences the space.
I have been Certified by the Professional Photographers of America since 2007 and in
2015 I received my Master Photographer degree. I
hold memberships in the Professional Photographers of America, the Southwest Professional Photographers Association
and the Metro Professional Photographers Association.
I have taught at professional photography guilds and conventions, and have had numerous articles published in
professional photography press.
I have won many awards for my photography
at the local, state, regional and national levels including prints accepted into the prestigious PPA traveling loan collection.
I look forward to working with you.
My commitment to you:
You will always see the finished work before you make a purchasing decision.
You will always be able to select as many or as few of the images that you wish
depending on your needs and your budget.
You will always receive an unrestricted, non-transferable license to the images
your purchase, with options to upgrade to a transferable license.
It is all about your design.
It is my job to make that design leap off the page.
